Harvey first started training in Martial Arts in June 1990 at Basildon Freestyle Karate Club, this club ran until August 1999 when, unfortunately, due to the lack of members forced it to close. When the club finished Harvey had achieved 1st Dan Black Belt. This style was based on 'Budo'.

In November 1996 Harvey joined Silver Dragon Karate Club, run by Mel Spicer. Both styles complemented each other due to them being both based on Freestyle Karate. Harvey still trains twice a week with the Silver Dragon Karate Club! This style is based on 'Wado Ryu' and at present Harvey is 2nd Black Belt, he also assist in the training, grading and the club's open competition.

Jon began training in Martial Arts in 1996 at the Silver Dragons. He started training for reasons of self defence and soon realised that its was an excellent way to practice self dicipline and motivation.
After completing his black belt in October 2002 Jon travelled to America to visit the Gracie Jui Jitsu Academy in hope of staying there and furthering is Martial Arts skills and bring them back to his club in England. However due to lack of funds this has been put on hold. In the mean time he enjoys teaching and practicing the style at Medi Mar. Jon has recently been awarded his 2nd degree by Medi Mar.
