Dear Students / Parents, Welcome to the third news
letter for MEDI-MAR:
Last week 31st March at old prices
As from 7th April 2004 we will, unfortunately, have
to put up the lesson charges due to the hall prices being increased.
Theses will go up from £2.50 to £3.00 per one hour lesson
but remain at £4.00 for the senior class 8.00 – 9.30
pm. The senior class still has low numbers and we are hoping that
a few higher grades will move up to this class. Anyone wishing to
come along to the senior class then please ask any instructor.
Well done to everyone who took part at the competition
on Sunday, it was a great day and we came away with a few trophies
the results are as follows;

It was a good day and hopefully everyone enjoyed it,
they had over 100 competitors and for Medi-Mar to come away with
seven trophies was a real achievement.
Paul Coulson – At the grading you probably noticed
we had another instructor helping and assessing the students –
Paul Coulson – Paul is a senior instructor and has been teaching
for many years but at present is not running a club. Paul is considering
starting a new club on Canvey to be held Sunday evening with the
help from Harvey doing Medi-Mar. Paul was very impressed with all
the students and the commitment they showed. Paul was Harvey’s
first instructor when he used to train in Basildon for Basildon
Freestyle Karate Club.
Jon Fortis – Jon came back from France to watch
the competition and was very impressed with everyone who took part.
Jon should be back fully in April 2004
From time to time we will have other instructors teaching
at the club, either in the same style or a different Martial Art.
These instructors will be known to MEDI-MAR and will be fully qualified.
Our web site is getting a few hits now and has all
the information regarding the club, latest news and class details.
We will be putting on names and photos of students (unless stated
by either yourself or parent that you do not want your photo to
be placed on the site). We will have a full history of competitions
that we have entered and who won what from MEDI-MAR. Any comments
on the Web Site would be appreciated. Look out for the new photos
of the competition soon.
